Caravanning Is the New Way to Holiday
They say things go in circles and caravanning is no exception. It is now
officially trendy to go on holiday in a caravan! How do we know? Well, if the celebs are doing it then it must be trendy right? Well, it’s true, the celebs are towing their caravans and motor homes around, but not only that, we can see by looking on our roads how many other camper vans, caravans and motor homes are on our roads. Caravanning is back in fashion!
It could be fair to say that many were pushed in the direction of caravanning because of a few factors such as the downturn in the economy. People are tightening up on their purse strings, but also discovering just how much fun caravanning really is; the cost of a camping holiday is vastly cheaper than paying for flights for the family, hotels and expensive meals, but the cost would seem to be a bonus since families are discovering that a good old fashion camping holiday can be as fun packed as a holiday abroad.
As well as camping holidays being more cost effective, it would seem that the experience of flying with the family is not as much fun as it used to me. This is since the changes in airport security which although necessary, seems to make the experience of flying less pleasant than it used to be. So the beginning of the holiday and end of the holiday seems to have a negative effect on the holiday.
The other additional factor is
that caravans are far more modernised than they used to be. It really did used to be evening by candlelight in a caravan in the 70′s as well as the caravans themselves not being as stable as they are today. Just a small gust of wind would have rocked the caravan too and fro, but nowadays they are a lot more weather proof.
Although most people would say you go on holiday to get away from the TV and video games, the kids aren’t as enthusiastic on the days when the weather isn’t so good. Now you can take your electrical toys and keep the kids occupied on the days when the rain prevents the BBQs.
There are a wide range of caravan sites that people can choose from depending on what kind of holiday they are looking for. Some caravan sites will provide onsite entertainment as well as be suitable for families with younger children. It is generally just a matter of looking online at various different campsites around the country and finding one that is suitable for you and your family.
As well as finding a suitable caravan site, there are also caravan clubs that you can join that can offer some great tips if you are new to caravanning. This could include details right down to which caravan to buy which suits your car. Take a look online for Caravan dealers who can also ensure you are looking for the right caravan or motor home for your next holiday.
